Short Itinerary
Day 1: Chengdu Arrival – Drive to Kangding
Arrive in Chengdu in the morning and drive west toward Kangding, passing Ya’an, Tianquan, and the Erlang Mountain area.
Today is designed as an arrival and acclimatization day. As the journey enters the Kham Tibetan region, the scenery begins to change from lowland Sichuan to mountain valleys and highland landscapes.
Day 2: Kangding – Mugecuo – Snow Mountain Scenic Road – Xinduqiao
After breakfast, visit Mugecuo Scenic Area, known for its highland lake, forests, grasslands, mountain views, and changing alpine atmosphere.
After the visit, continue along the snow mountain scenic road, stopping at selected viewpoints such as Honghaizi and Sidingcuo depending on weather and road conditions. Enjoy lake reflections, grasslands, and distant snow peaks before arriving in Xinduqiao.
Day 3: Xinduqiao – Moon Lake – Xinduqiao
Travel from Xinduqiao toward Moon Lake, passing Tibetan villages, mountain roads, and forest landscapes.
Enjoy time around the lake area with light walking and scenic views. This day offers a quieter and more relaxed experience, focusing on forest, water, plateau scenery, and the peaceful atmosphere of the highlands.
Return to Xinduqiao after the visit.
Day 4: Xinduqiao – Muya Monastery – Tagong Cultural Experience – Moshi Park – Daofu
Travel toward the Tagong area for a deeper cultural experience in the Tibetan highlands.
Visit Muya Monastery and nearby monastic areas, where grasslands, prayer flags, white stupas, and mountain views create a powerful spiritual atmosphere. Take part in a mani stone handcraft experience and learn about the meaning of Tibetan prayer stones and local religious art.
Later, visit Moshi Park, a unique highland stone forest with striking dark rock formations and open plateau scenery.
Continue to Daofu for overnight.
Day 5: Yala Snow Mountain – Danba
After a relaxed morning, travel toward the Yala Snow Mountain area. Enjoy views of one of the sacred snow mountains of the Kham Tibetan region, with opportunities for photography and scenic stops depending on weather and visibility.
Continue to Danba and visit Jiaju Tibetan Village, known for its Jiarong Tibetan houses, mountain slopes, valley views, and ancient watchtower culture.
Day 6: Danba – Mount Siguniang Shuangqiao Valley
Depart from Danba and continue toward Mount Siguniang.
In the afternoon, visit Shuangqiao Valley, one of Mount Siguniang’s most accessible and scenic valleys. The area features snow mountain views, forests, rivers, alpine meadows, and changing vegetation from lower valleys to higher mountain zones.
After the visit, check in near Mount Siguniang.
Day 7: Mount Siguniang – Return to Chengdu
Enjoy a relaxed morning before driving back to Chengdu.
On the way, stop briefly at Maobiliang Viewpoint if weather allows, where you may see distant views of Mount Siguniang and the surrounding mountains. Continue through Wolong, Wenchuan, and Dujiangyan before arriving in Chengdu.
The journey ends upon arrival in Chengdu.
