Tour Overview
Explore Xi’an over two days through its most important historical periods, from the Qin Empire to the great age of Chang’an during the Han and Tang dynasties.
The first day focuses on the Terracotta Warriors and the historic center of Xi’an, including the Ancient City Wall, Bell and Drum Tower area, and Muslim Quarter.
The second day continues through the city’s broader history with a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum, followed by the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Da Ci’en Temple. The journey concludes around the Grand Tang Mall area, where the legacy of Tang Dynasty Chang’an is reflected in modern Xi’an.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Terracotta Warriors – Xi’an Ancient City Wall – Bell & Drum Tower Square – Muslim Quarter
Meet your English-speaking guide and driver at your hotel in the morning and travel by private vehicle to the Terracotta Warriors.
Visit the main excavation pits and exhibition areas. Your guide will introduce the history of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the Qin Dynasty, the ancient military formations represented by the figures, and the archaeological work that has revealed the site.
After the visit, return to central Xi’an.
In the afternoon, explore the Xi’an Ancient City Wall. Walk along the wall and enjoy views over the historic city while learning about traditional Chinese urban planning and defensive architecture.
Continue to the Bell and Drum Tower area before walking into the Muslim Quarter. Spend time exploring its streets, local food scene, shops, and neighborhood atmosphere.
Return to your hotel by private vehicle at the end of the day.
Day 2: Shaanxi History Museum – Giant Wild Goose Pagoda & Da Ci’en Temple – Grand Tang Mall
Meet your guide and driver at your hotel after breakfast.
Begin the day at the Shaanxi History Museum, home to an important collection of artifacts from several of China’s major dynasties. The visit provides a clear introduction to the development of ancient Xi’an and helps connect the history of the Qin, Han, and Tang periods.
Continue to the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Da Ci’en Temple.
Here, learn about the monk Xuanzang, his journey across Central and South Asia, the transmission of Buddhist texts, and the role of Chang’an as an important center of religion and international exchange during the Tang Dynasty.
Later in the day, continue to the Grand Tang Mall area. Walk through the modern cultural district and see how present-day Xi’an interprets and presents the legacy of Tang Dynasty Chang’an through architecture, public spaces, and evening atmosphere.
At the end of the tour, return to your hotel by private vehicle.
